The VR-Zone "Ultimate Gaming Rigs Roundup!"
August 16, 2003Computers today, in most people minds, are nothing more than a tool for work and communication. In most cases people dont think of their machines as being special in anyway and look upon them as any other household item. Some may value their PC, but dont see it as a part of themselves or as unique as they are. There are many pc manufacturers out there today ranging from huge corporate manufacturing plants to small 'ma and pa' computer stores. Each offers some kind of flavor but nothing truly unique for the individual punching down thousands to buy the machine. There are a few in the world that truly make a unique product worth buying and claiming its uniqueness. Alienware, Falcon Northwest, Overdrive PC™, Voodoo PC, and Zeus PC are a few to mention. Each offers a different kind of machine, and not some kind of production line PC that never stands out from the rest.
In this round-up I will go over the difference between each machine; who builds what, the uniqueness behind each machine, the hardware they choose, and we will run benchmarking applications as well as games. For the professional users out there I will also review why these machines are probably the best on the planet when comparing them to production-line PC's.
